Buhari to speak to Super Eagles before the clash with Iceland.

Ahead of Friday’s Super Eagles second group D match against Iceland in Volgograd, the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari will once more speak with the players and officials of the team before the match.

The chat, according to the NFF is aimed at motivating the boys to see the game against Iceland as the only game that would determine Nigeria’s continued stay in the World Cup, adding that the players have already seen the game in that way.

It was also gathered that the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, visited the Super Eagles camp early yesterday before he return to the Nigeria to participate in his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, which is billed for Saturday in Abuja.

“The President had called them before the match against Croatia and will speak with them again before the match against Iceland. All these things are ways of motivating players. I don’t think that they are lacking in motivation, Seyi Akinwunmi, the NFF First vice president noted.
