The Edo State Commissioner of Communication and Orientation, Chris Osa Nehikhare has called on Edo people to remain calm and patient as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was preparing to approach the tribunal with what he described as hard and Undeniable facts.
He made the appeal in a statement signed and made available to the Press yesterday in the state capital.
According to the statement,
“Dear Esteemed People of Edo State,
” In these times of uncertainty following the recent elections, I want to take a moment to address you all with a message of hope and reassurance. As we navigate this period, it is crucial that we remain calm and united.
“The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stands firm in its belief that the recent elections reflected the true will of the people. We are preparing to approach the tribunal with hard facts and undeniable evidence that demonstrate the overwhelming support you, the people of Edo, have shown for the PDP and our candidate, Asue.
“We understand that emotions may be running high, but I urge you to remain steadfast and patient. Our commitment to justice and democracy is unwavering, and we are determined to ensure that every vote is respected and accunted for. The strength of our party lies in the collective voice of our people, and together, we will stand for what is right.
He therefore called on the people to remain peaceful.
“Let us continue to engage in peaceful dialogue and support each other as we embark on this journey for justice. Your faith in the democratic process is vital, and together we will show that the will of the people cannot be silenced.
“Thank you for your continued support and resilience”.
